my char, whobacca on eclipse, is neutral why cant i trade with anyone that isnt neutral as well? i mean comon thats the point of being neutral to work with both sides it only makes cents. tallon karrade, neutral worked with both sides. jabba, um bad example. you get my point. look up the word neutral it means not opposed to either side. so why am i on an opposing faction? it makes no cents or creds

It is more than that. There is this weird bug where you will get the can't trade with faction response and there is clearly no faction problem. For instance I was trading with a smuggler to get a weapon sliced, and he got the weapon, and later after the slice he could not trade with me for faction reasons. I was there watching him. He didn't do anything that would give him a TEF. Usually at this point you should find a 3rd party and see if you can trade. Whoever cant trade with the 3rd party is the one who is bugged. They need to /sit, /logout, close the game down to desktop, wait 3 minutes, then relog. Usually this clears the problem and once again you can trade. I think this bug arises out of some kind of log jam involving trade requests cancelled or multiple requests for trade.

here's another curve to throw in there there's been times when I couldn't trade with someone but we both could trade with a third party neither one of us would get the faction messgae for reasons unable to trade when we tried but it's been awhile since I had that happen so maybe that part of it is now fixed *shrug*
