Thread: Cannot use pulic crafting stations?

I can't seem to get public crafting statins to work? I can examine them but not use? My personal ones work without a hitch but when I go into town no go? Is something wrong, or am I just being dense and missing something?

Are you getting stations confused with tools? A crafting *tool* is what you use to build things. Crafting *stations* are not really used... you just stand near them and use the appropriate matching specific crafting *tool* to get additional functionality (the ability to experiment and create manufacturing schematics).

I'm 100% certain you can't craft the top items like Composite Armor with a public crafting station.

Some items require any crafting station, other require a private crafting station. Basically anything that requires a master elite profession to build, requires a private crafting station. All you can do is examine a public crafting station, it has no input hooper. Use the advance tool, not generic, that corresponds to the stations to experiment and/or create schematics.
