Thread: Survey Mission Difficulty
What determines how hard the Artisan survey missions are and what they payout is? I've got an artisan character that makes less than one of my combat characters and I've got another artisan character that makes twice what my first does. What are the factors/skills that go into what missions you can get?
Thanks.
It's determined by your ability with your equipped weapon. Example: No weapon equipped = low payout; Weapon equipped = higher payout; Novice Marksman with CDF pistol equipped = low payout; Master Marksman with high power weapon equipped = high payout. I think the reasoning is that if you have high combat skills and a good weapon then you can go to more remote and dangerous places to sample for resources. Hope that helps.

Correct, but the amount of money you get paid for those missions is based on the power of the weapon you are holding when you take the mission.

I find this to be irritating too.
Crafter mission difficulty based on equipped weapon? It's just Dumb.
Definitely an issue for the Correspondent to take to the devs.

Ok - I have been getting survey missions for the longest time that range from 300 -900 credits and have you survey for just metal, ore, gas. Last nite - for a short time - I got missions that were double that amount and were more specific - instead of just metal - it was ferrous metal or non-ferrous metal. After a couple of hours - the missions went back to the way I have seen them the whole time they have been here.
I always carry my laser carbine - tho I may not have had it equipped on the last change of missions when they went down from the higher levels. I just got the 4th level of carbine training before the mission pay went up- so is this the reason I got the higher missions?
