My holocron told me to master artisan. The only problem is I know absolutely ZERO about everythign having to do with the profession. I am a Master CH/Novice BH, so I have only been hunting.

I am looking for some help from you experienced artisans for advice on what is the fastest way to master the profession.

Like I said, I am clueless to the profession, so any help you can give me would be awesome.

Two things:

(1) Survey, survey, survey. It's a lot of of boreing time, but you'll need the materials to craft things, which brings me to . . .

(2) Crafting. The more complex the item, the more craftingxp you get. Up to Crafting III, any armoroffers a good amount of crafting xp. Once you get to Crafting III and higher, crafting harvesters gets you lots of xp (about 500 per harvester) and rather quickly. You can "practice" on the item if you don't want to have a surplus of things that no one will buy (unless you offer it for dirt cheap).

One other thing I've noticed . . . the non-Artisan mission terminals only offer low credits (typically less than 500) for the missions. [For some reason, before I got rifle II, the explorer missions were upwards of 3000 credits. Now that I've got rifle III, I can't find explorer missions greater than 500 credits.] Artisan missions have up to 900 credits. If you figure out what resources are near the suttle ports (and thus don't have to roam far to complete your mission) you can shuttle back and forth with artisan missions and rack up to greater than 10,000 credits per hour. (I can explain more coherently if you want.)

It seems I've done the opposite of your experiences. I started out as an Artisan and while I'm waiting to find people to "teach" for the coveted apprentice xp (in order to attain Master status) I've been killing things, thus getting xp in the marksman and scout categories. If you're in the Kettamore galaxy and want me to teach you Artisan skills for free, just "tell" me.

Make general crafting kits, if you have the minerals you can grind all the way from novice to master Artisan in one day as long as you got the surveying exp.
