This may be your problem. I have heard (although not personally experienced) that crafting stations have a "zone of effect" that marks the area within which you can experiment. But if the stations are too close together, one zone overrides another. So while you may be closest to your Weapon station, the Food/Chem station next to it has overriden its zone of effect onto the spot you're standing, allowing you to experiment on food or stims, but not a CDEF pistol.
You can try picking up and re-placing the station you want to use (possibly making some other station non-operable), or spread your stations further apart. I've also read that walking to a point inside the station you want to use can allow experimentation.
Nope, this character doesn't even own a med droid. I tried again in one of the rooms of he big house today when i got home from work.....and it still doesn't work
Gonna try buying 1 more crafting station and try those in the house tonight...maybe for some strange reason these are bugged somehow or something. I'll let you all know if it works. Thanks fo all the help guys ![]()

Here is what I think I just discovered: The crafting station has to be bought by the charachter that is going to use it. I bought the stations with my main and traded them to the new charac, and he couldn't use those. I took them and destroyed them, then went to the market and bought a new weapon, droid....etc station, and placed that in the house. It worked when I tried to experiment with it. So I was ccrafting on that one and walked my main to the bazaar to uy te other stations I needed. Then went and traded them to the crafter, and once again, they will not work. This may be a bug or it may be that it is just my charac for some reason I guess. SO I am just going to go buy them with the crafter now and see if they will all start to work that way.
I really don't think this is correct. I've never had a problem using any crafting station, no matter who bought it, who placed it, who's house it is in etc.
