Can someone pls explain to me how does a personidentify where they are in Combat Level inrelation toobaining a higher combat lvl. Example, if I'm at combat level 10 how do I know how much further combat points I need to get to level 11?? I'm an artisan and my combat lvl has ONLYchanged after I traineda new skill. Given this rate... I will eventually max out all my professions but never reach lvl 80. Thanks.

CL 80 means you have mastered 2 elite combat professions, so if you are a crafter you probably won't ever hit this. Mastering 1 elite level combat profession gives you a CL 54. Novice elite combat professions give you a CL14, and the more boxes you get after that, the higher it goes.

Go here and download the profcalc Clicky, the only profession that does not show coreectly is creature handler but MCH would be CL54 if no other profession taken and CL80 with 2 elites.

Combat level is tied to the skills you have, not to the combat xp you have acquired. And only combat skills count towards combat level. Artisan skills do nothing for combat level.
