Not sure where to post this thread, if it's in the wrong forum, please move it to the right one.
I was thinking that it would be great if at some point we could have a couple of changes made to the harvester and factory interfaces and radial menu options.
Harvesters
- Remove the Name option from the radial menu for non-owners (not critical at all)
- Double clicking the harvester opens the Operate Machinery window, especially since examine seems to have no purpose
- Redesign the Operate Machinery window to include: (a) two cells for power and maintance allowing us to directly type in the amount of each we would like to have (not add) and (b) a button to pull all the contents of the hopper out and add them to inventory. This would put most of the functionality controls in one window.
- Create/activate a slash command to allow an admin to pull all of the resources from the hopper and put into inventory.
- Add an email option to theradial menuto email specific admins about harvester status (e.g. harvester out of power/maint, resource shifted out andhopper full).
- Allow resource stacks removed from different harvesters to stack automatically in inventory.
Factories
- Remove the Name option from the radial menu for non-owners (not critical at all)
- Add an email option to theradial menuto email specific admins about factory status (e.g. factory out of power/maint, out of ingredient/component andproduction complete). For those of us that share factories and/or lot swap, this is most needed.
- Increase the range at which we can access the options on the radial menu. This is a very fine line at which you can be between two equipment factories and use both radials. This would be nice for making runs of items that require sub-components, allowing easy transfer between factories.
- Combine the input and output screens into one, allowing easy transfer of sub-components with in the same factory. Possibly add a button to move all output hopper contents into the ingredient hopper.
- Create/activate a slash command to allow an admin to pull all of theitems from the ingredient/output hopper and put into inventory.
Thanks for your time.

Those are excellent suggestions. I would love to see this implimented.
I have one addition to suggest: make the "set name" permanent unless changed. I hate having to rename all my harvesters every time I move them.

especially if said harvister is sitting smack in the middle of a HUGE strip mining operation pulling up thousands and thousands of units of resources. it's like finding a needle in a haystack. (or a bothan in the soap aisle in the store)

I don't think that would work for me for a couple reasons. One, it's selecting from the radial menu that's the real pain, not pasting in the new text, and two, I use /notepad to create a multi-line name for each harvester. I don't think either of these things could be macroed. I could be wrong though.

Sunjammer,
You can macro "set name" completely to a hotkey. I learned how to do this here. My hotkey names it, sets admins and opens the status window all at once.
