Hey,
Can someone give me a discription on how a harvester (any kind) works? I would appreciate it if you don't answer me with some lame phrase like: "You stick it on the ground and it gives you resources". Thanks. I just want a brief discription of how the harvesters work, upkeep costs, how to pay for upkeep, what I can really use them for (their benfit if you will), etc... Thanks in advance guys (and gals).

You place it on the ground, select a specific resource (it will give you a detailed list of resource near it, and their precentage), put some power in it (either gather by a Wind Harvester, Solar Harvester, or manually by you using Radioactive Ore), then load it up with money to keep it at 100% condition. Turn it on, and walk away.
It's something like, 720cr/day for a Mineral Harvester, 600power/day.
And 1440cr/day for Wind Generator (requires no power).

By the way, the bad news. If your harvester runs out of money, it will cost huge ammounts to fix it. A harvester with no credits, will degrade to 50% in a few hours, and cost 4000/cr+ to repair to 100%. At this point, you just build a new one and let the old one rot.

Is there anyway to pick the harv up if I know I'm not going to be playing for a day or two? because it won't harvest while i'm not in the game, but it will continue to degrade and cost me money... What are solutions to this problem, lets say if I know I can't play for 3 days or so, or even a week?
Thanks

It will harvest when you're not in game. But if it runs out of power (or you turn it off), it will continue to cost money to keep the quality up.
