Yes! Totally. You may fail from time to time, but your sucesses will yield MUCH better items.

Absolutely, you experiment not to just makebetter items but to create a manufactoring schematic. Once you have a schematic for a high quality item it can be mass produced in a factory, This is where you make credit efficently ..

Well, you COULD make a schematic without experimenting, but I don't know why anyone would when a few more minutes workcan have you a much better quality schematic.

okay well, i didnt know that. if i experiment, can i still make a schematic?

Yes, you can still make a schematic if you experiment.

As far as whether or not you SHOULD experiment, consider exactly what you expect to GAIN. Are you xp grinding, and that's it? Then you should realize that experimenting takes a little bit more TIME, so you might be better off just not bothering. Also, some items don't have a notable improvement. Fiberplast panels, tents, and maybe, say . . . dice . . . don't really benifit much.

If you're making weapons, armor or food . . . then EXPERIMENT!!! And make sure you have good resources too. Making a gun with a poor quality metal is gonna suck, no matter HOW good you are.

okay well i found alot of copper, would that be good to make a gun, ofcourse cause of conductivity, right? then would it be better to make the whole gun out of copper?

please enlighten me on this issue.

The TYPE of metal you use has no relavance. All you want to look at are the stats. If you can find aluminum that has better stats than copper . . . then be prepared to make an aluminum gun. That's all there is to it. I THINK that for guns you want OVERALL QUALITY and CONDUCTIVITY. . . . . Or was it something else. Either way, check your blueprints. It'll tell you want stats go into what aspects of the gun. As a marksmen, I know that I look for a high damage rating first, and attack speed second.

Right now I have a copper with 864 conductivity and 997 overall quality. I'm combining it with a 993 quality fiberplast. I CANNOT make weapon mods fast enough to meet demand. They're TOO good, esspecially since I get 99% experimentation almost every time.

I can't remember what resource characteristic is important in gun-crafting experiments (i'm at work at the moment).

if it says 'conductivity' on the gun schematic and your copper has a high conductivity rating, then yes, got for it!

okay, so then the highest durability and conductivity are the most important things? so then i should combine those items then will i get a better overall item/weapon/armor?
