Thread: Which Elite Profession to Pursue?

So, I'm nearing the top of the Engineering branch and I soon have to decide which elite profession I should pursue... Now I realize that this should be the type of thing I should decide on my own, but I thought it might be nice to get some opinions before spending too much time gaining experience on something that just won't do me any good in the long run. For example, I have always been interested in droid engineering, but I have read some messages that lead me to believe people are bored and/or frustrated with it. Armorsmith could also be fun I think, but being a Wookiee and unable to wear armor, perhaps that's not for me. Weaponsmith seems like a no brainer, but there's also Architect and as cool as that sounds, it doesn't seem like there is much demand for houses just yet... anyone explore these upper professions yet and could give me any suggestions?

You can't go wrong by becoming a Novice Architect. Being able to build your own installations should help you on whatever path you ultimately choose.

Having Master Artisan, Novice Architect, and Installations I costs 88 character points and prepares you to become self-sufficient--if you have Novice Scout as well.

Architect also seems to be the least screwed-up/most complete of the elite engineering professions.

Well, I am a Droid Engineer AND an Architect, hehe. So I guess i have the best of both worlds. I would say that if you want to start out making money, start as Architect. Then, later also get Droid Engineer. Nothing is stopping you from getting both, right??
