How much ram does it take most people to run SWG?

I was watching my task manager while playing and it showed I was using 345,000k

that is a LOT of ram for one program. Granted I am playing 1280x1024 with all graphic levels maxed out.

Also, I noticedthat after the patch last night, the game takes a LONG time to load levels/objects. It used to load in about 20 seconds, now it's almost 2 minutes.

It takes longer to load now because of the newly implemented code. The game tests your system and adjusts what it is loading to he amount of current memory usage on your system... I'm running with a gig of DDR PC2100 ram, and have seen about a 5 fps jump within cities since the last patch. This is pretty substantial with grafix all the way up in a city, especially when I used to be getting 19fps, now i'm hitting closer to 25 or 30fps on average.

The game used to pull a set amount of ram from your system, but now with the new patch... The more you got, the more it uses, and the better it runs. Enjoy.

I don't know about running better. I have 512Mb but when I hit "CTRL-SHIFT-G" in game to look at fps etc. It shows something like 173Mb used out of 373Mb. I'm not sure that SWG uses all the RAM effectively. I will check again tonight.

I need to upgrade to 512 or a gig then. heh. I got 256 and the only time I get fps higher then 1-5 are out of cities or 2 am my time (when no one is on).
