I know this has been a huge debate on message boards, but it became personal for me today. I am working toward Tailor and right now amselling my goodsfor 100-250 credits on the bazaar. These range from Novice Artisan to Domestic IV. Today someone told me that another crafter got on their case for lowering some prices. They were told that doing that would sink them down to my type of business. To me this seems like the person is accusing me of intentionally undercut and ruin the market for other crafters. They said that I and the other person needed to raise our prices so that they could raise theirs. The problem is that I had about five items return this week because they didn't sell at even my earlier prices that ranged from 30-150 credits.

I would like to know if selling items up through Domestic IV for the prices I sell them is so outrageous.

Im an Artisan and I sell items on the bazaar too (not clothes, but still the same). Here is my view on this.

If someone is selling items under what another is selling, dont get upset. It adds competition. If that person has enough resources to make those items and sell them at a lower cost, then good for them. Dont listen to anyone else. Sell at a price you think is suitable and ignore the other people who bitch and complain.

Now, as for those who overprice (like I saw a ton of +4% power-ups going for 100-1000 creds), they must be shot and killed immediatly. This just discourages people from checking the bazaar for power-ups (which is what I am currently selling) because of the high prices.

Ignore the people who complain. If you have the ability to sell for less, then take that edge, it's called competition. At some point you will want to raise your prices a bit to test the market and see if you can make more money, but over-all you shouldn't let those people bother you. If they continue to harrass you, lodge a complaint and place them on your ignore list. To everyone upset about people pricing too low, welcome to the way the world works. You sell lower than your competition, you make the money, you sell too low and you make yourself go broke.

The trade off is, if you sell low, you have to work harder to replenish your supply and end up doing nothing but crafting. If you sell higher, you can take your time and play instead of constantly crafting. If you can't keep up with the competition and you don't like it, you are obviously in the wrong profession.

When you watch a race in the olympics, you don't see the slower runners yelling to the faster ones "hey slow down so i can catch up!" do you? i'm not going to slow down for people who can't keep up. They can always surrender their artisan skills and take up another profession.

So for review: Keep selling at prices that sell, constantly put 1 item up priced higher than normal, see if it sells, then adjust your prices accordingly. If other people complain, reply to them with a witty remark, or just tell them to go away or else you'll put a bounty on their head with all the money you have made from actually selling stuff haha

In the end, have fun playing the game your way, don't listen to other people whine.
