Ya... same exact thing happened to me.
I really wish they'd fix this.

I had this problem with maintenance when I first got into the game. putting 33k of your 34k credits into a wind harvester when you're new to the game is not fun.

The real stupid thing is that you can withdraw maintenance from vendors.
So to remove a vendor, you can withdraw all maintenance and delete him.
On the other hand, houses, harvesters, factories just steal you money/power and never give it back. Make any sense to you?

I did it AGAIN this morning - only with credits this time, instead of power(3000 instead of 300). The way the system is set up this miostake is SO easy to make.
This is really something that would be super easy to fix.

OK folks, real easy solution here. Did the same thing myself ONCE as a newb, never again.
DON'T use the radial menu and slider bar thing, it just loves to retain and add a zero at the end of your typing no matter how careful you are.
INSTEAD type /addpower <amount> for power and /pay <amount> for maintenance. Make a macro even, for one day's worth of each.
The only thing I use the radial menu for is confirming how much power I am carrying.

Buugli is right.
Make a Macro for 1 days worth of Power and 1 days wirth of Maint.
Then plop the icons on the toolbar. Target the Harvester, and Viola!
No more mistakes.
You can make a Macro for naming too, to make sure all of your stuff has your name on it. That just looks pretty
The only thing I haven't figured out is to how to make a Macro to pull up the Status window.
Anyone know?

I just wanted to reply to your message real quick, it does make sense but only in an abstract way. When you delete a vendor it is gone, you never get the exact same vendor back, but when you redeed a structure, you get it in your inventory and when you examin it you will notice that it retains all power and maintenance that are left over.
