I am using asampling macro to try to get survey 4, but every 10 minutes or so a menu pops up saying there is a concentrated resource, does this stop mysampling until I click something? What I am getting at is how do you set up a surveying macro so you can go afk and keep sampling without stopping for the pop up menu every 10 minutes.

Sorry Champ, the idea of that annoying pop-up is to stop you from AFK sampling. The Dev's don't like AFK sampling and think it's a borderline exploit. Of course, not many of the DEV's have made it to surveying 4 the hard way.

Put a /sit and then /stand in the macro. This will ignore the pop-ups

Better yet. I placed an object heavy enough to keep my enter key pressed down. Every time the popup came along it was gone before you could see the window. And I surveyed happily ever after.

Can you post that macro exapmle please? What is a good place to find Artisan XP grinding macros?

/pause 7;

/stand;

/pause 5;

/sit;

/pause 20;

/stand;

/pause 5;

/ui action toolbarSlot00

That's what I use. Nets me around 500 resources per hour.

Sorry champ, but you're just plain wrong. The Devs couldn't give a rat's behind whether you AFK sample (or any other macro, for that matter) so long as you don't use a 3rd party macro (eg one that would simulate keyclicks). If the Devs truly DID care, it would be very very easy for them to stop it. But they don't, and there is no evidence that they do. Why else do you think they would macros so fuctional?

From the in-game Holocron FAQ (under the "Gameplay" section):

"Q:Is AFK-macroing ok?

A: Yes it is."

It could not BE any more clearer, I don't understand why you people can't get it through your head. Or maybe you knew the Devs don't care, and you just wanted to keep the macro to yourself? Whatever your reason, shame on you!

Sorry should have said simultaed mouseclicks, not keyclicks.
