I posted this on the Corbantis trade forum and someone had suggested to try contacting a master artisan directly. So, *crossing fingers* here goes.

I'm looking for the following melee powerups;

1. 33.6% Health Cost Reduction / 16.33% Minimum Damage Increase / 8.4% Attack Speed Increase

2. 33.6%Action Cost Reduction / 16.33% Minimum Damage Increase / 8.4% Attack Speed Increase

3. 33.6% Mind Cost Reduction / 16.33% Minimum Damage Increase / 8.4% Attack Speed Increase

4. 26.8% Health Cost Reduction / 13.2% Wound Chance Increase / 10.5% Minimum Damage Increase / 8% Attack Speed Increase

5. 26.8% Action Cost Reduction / 13.2% Wound Chance Increase / 10.5% Minimum Damage Increase / 8% Attack Speed Increase

6. 26.8% Mind Cost Reduction/ 13.2% Wound Chance Increase / 10.5% Minimum Damage Increase / 8% Attack Speed Increase

I did a bit of searching and suprisingly there was'nt much info on the forums as to what are some powerups floating around out there. However, I did find this post where someone was selling some and it's the one I'm using as the basis for this request;

I'm willing to buy these in lots of3 crates with 25 or more in each (or more depending upon the price). The first 3 are the ones I'm willing to by in a larger quantity of 6 crates or more if a volume discount could be given. Please send an email in-game to Patricia Silverfox or reply to this thread and I will email you in-game.

These are going to be very difficult to find. It is extremely time consuming to sit down and try to craft a single random 4 mod powerup, let alone one with specific mods. The 3 mod ones would be hard enough. (although with melee powerups it will be a little easier since there is only one type). I suggest you offer a specific quantity you are willing to purchase at a specific price, if its high enough you might entice an artisan on your server to undertake your order.

Too bad you're not on Interpid Server, I would have given you some of my 4 and 5 mod melee powerups.

*sigh* So I've been told. I mean, I know these are hard but what is it going to take to get them made? 10k per crate? 20k? What's the point where the offer would be too irresistible for someone to pass up? I'm just so fed up of seeing all these uber ranged powerups that people make and melee ones getting like the hand-me-downs. It's about time that someone step up to this and if it takes me spending lots of money to do it, so be it. This has gone on long enough.

If I can find just one person to bite on this it will do wonders for the melee profession on my server.

Bikki,

I appreciate that hon. And I wish I could give you the business. I've always been a firm believer in the "support what you like" theory. If I find a weaponsmith or armoursmith that does an awesome job I'll buy the majority, if not everything, from them because they deserve my business. But, when you are unable to find anything approaching decent then you've either got to give up or try and find someone who's at least willing to make the attempt.

Hey, if I was on Corbantis I would be trying this

The thing is, I think there's 5 possible primary stat and 5 possible secondary stat, and it's random what you get each time. So it would be hard enough to .. say, try to get a Health/Min Damage powerup, (although wouldn't you rather have a Health/Max Damage?), and even harder to get a Health/Min Damage/Speed one. If you're lucky you can get this in 5 tries, but if not, 100 tries and you probably still don't see this combination. And that's just 1 combination out of the 6 you're looking for. It's just a matter of finding someone patient enough to do it.

Just wondering, what's the average speed for melee weapons? Never used one myself, so I don't know how much of an impact 8% boost in speed would make.

stryfex,

I got a similar rundown from another artisan. Though, you do bring up a question I have. You mention a Health/Max Damage one. Does the health portion give an addition to your HAM bar or does it increase the HAM cost of doinga special? I've asked a couple already but they just grunted or ignored me. : ( From what little I've seen I'd say that melee weapons can range from 2.3 to 6 in speed rating not taking into account any stat bonuses. To answer your question however, I do not believe the speed boost would provide much considering that my understanding is that some melee classes can come very close if not max out at the 1.0 speed limit. But, in those few cases where that does not happen every little bit counts especially when you consider that when you're in PvP you're going to want to put your target down as quick as you can before they do the same to you.

Oh, just as an FYI for those wondering 'bout tailoring their own melee powerup for customers here's something that may help courtesy of Dragosani666;

Max dmg- Best thing to get for almost any weapon out there imo15-16% of anyones max dmg will be alot higher than your min meaningyou'll hit those big shots more often & have a great hit once in a while which will be betterthan a min dmg powerup overtimeunless your unlucky,& unless you have a really slow weapon like those ap 3 rifles or a powerhammer having a extra swing/shot every once in awhile still wont beat it.

Speed - 2nd best & a slow weapons best friend

Min dmg - These are for the non gamblersthat want to see more dmg with every shot & are good if you think the random # generator for your weapon hates you =P but still I'd have had more than my fair share of bad luck fights where you always seem to hit to for your min dmg, this powerup will make it more likely you survive them.

Wound - Almost useless & I have a 48.0% chance to wound on my LVA & wound my opponents pretty regularly only place I can see this being usefull is if 2 healers/combat class were fighting & want to limit them from healing to their full but I'd still be willing to bet you'd kill them from head hits before you get their wounds down a noticable lvl. This thing really needs to be able to raise to 30% before I see it being useful imo.

Secondary stat powerups

H/A/M reducers - Best thing to get for your weapon unless maybe its for a low lvl weapon with very little ham cost in the first place that you use for putting things like dizzy/blind/stun/kd...etc on your opponent & while it depends on the costs of the weapon you use 30-32% less mind costs is overall the best to put a weaponespecially for thehealer/combat classes out there& for the non healers justdrink atatooine sunburn or 2 before a large fight thehigh strwill lower your health costs & if I drink 2 of them they becomenegligible & my normal regenalmost always brings me back to normal before my next special & everyone knows how great your action regen becomes after drinking these so I wont say anymore.

Point blank range - Good for us brawlers for obvious reasons

Ideal range - Useless,mobs will always try to get in your face

Max range - Great for pet owners against mobs just let your pet tank for you & stay at the max rng where they cant hit you even as a Tera Kasi with vibro knucklers I can stay just far enough where they cant hit me but I can hit them its alot easier for the other brawlers to stay at max though....just dont use a large pet or try this against a large mob.

As always, if anyone has any suggestions as to how I should approach an artisan are always appreciated.

Hi again,

I find that attack speed mod in melee powerups are more useful for those who have not reach master level in their profession.Those who are at Master-level (in melee classes)generallyprefer powerups that reduce their mind cost and increase max damage.

Combat classes that use ranged powerups generally want max damage to be amongst the primary or secondarymods in the powerup. Professions like Rifleman may want mind cost reduction and Carbineer may want health cost reduction

Examples of what sells on my Interpid vendor are:

Hope you get what you want soon Pat
