Thread: Nebwie needs help
First, make sure you have novice artisan. Almost every city has a training. 100 credits.
Next, get yourself a mineral survey tool. Bazzar may have one, or if you are nice almost any artisan can make one for you. If you live in the NE part of Tatt on the intrepid server, I'll give you one if you catch me online. /tell O-Jen
Likewise, you will want a Droid, Weapon, and General Crafting tool. Forget about the basic Generic Crafting Tool unless its all you can get.
You shouldn't need more than 2000 total to get all of this. Your problem will be finding the crafting and survey tools on the bazaar. You might want to make a plea on your server for an artisan to put some on sale in your city, or maybe just contact you in-game.
Once you can survey metals, and have a crafting tool, and get the required level in artisan, you can make all the other tools you need.

yes you can restart your character, just delete the old one and create a new one. but there is no need to do that.
even if you accidentally chose brawler you can still train artisan, medic etc. i always start a anew character as an artisan and once i have some money then train medic, scout and usually a combat skill. the only slight problem will be that your stats are probably setup for brawler not artisan, but even that can be changed using stat migration so there really is no need to re-roll unless you want to change your species.
as o-jen said once you have some cash buy yourself a weapon,droid and general tool and a mineral survey tool and you can survey / sample to get materials to make the rest of the survey tools and so to make the rest of the crafting tools. thats how most artisans start out.
