Thread: Anyone had this problem with Medium harvestors?

So I dropped one medium harvestor on a 75% Platinite Copper deposit and a personal harvestor on some 75% aluminum spot. Next day when I get home I check both and the medium harvestor has about 4000 units of copper and the personal harvestor has about 4100 units! The next day I place a few more personals in various spots and check them the day after that. Same result, in the same time frame the persoanls extract slightly more than the medium and they are all on appoximately the same % deposits (within about 3% either way). Has anyone else had this happen?

WHat were the BERs of the Medium Extractors? A really poor Medium can have a BER of 4, which is the same as a really good Personal.

Not to sound n00bish but I cancelled my account for about 4 months and only reactivated it this week so .... what exactly is BER? (I know, probly the silliest question ever heard from a Master Weapon Smith but back in MY day all harvestors we're essetially the same. Oh, and we also had to walk 30km both ways in the snow uphill while barefoot but thats another rant)

BER is base extraction rate. BER * density = units per minute. Back in the day all personals were 2 BER, all Mediums were 4 BER, and I think large were 7 BER. Now there's a range based on experimentation. Personals can reach 4, or be as low as 1. Mediums can reach 10, and large can reach 13.
