Hello,

I have some questions regarding factories, schematics and powermods. Any answers on the following will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1- What factory do I need to make powermods for weapons ?

2- Are schematics limited: i.e. if I have it set up on 1000 units, will the schematic dissapear after 1000 units?

3- What happen if I have a 1000 unit schematic and I have only put 300 units of resources?

4- Is it expensive to buy and maintain a factory ?

5- I heard there is some kind of crate involved using a factory, how and what to use?

5- From your experiences, what kind of power mods sell the best?

Again thank you for any answers on above questions,

1. Equipment Factory.

2. Correct. After making 1000 items the schematic will poof.

3. After making 300 units the factory will shutdown. The schematic will now only be good for 700 units.

4. Umm. In my opinion no, but then I make a lot of money, factory upkeep isnt expensive to me, but maybe to others.

Costs are : 50cr / hour and 50 power / hour.

5. Factories produce crates of items. Different items determine the number in each crate. Pistol weapons are 25 per crate, Powerups are 10, some Heavy weapons are 7. Some schematics will call for identical parts to be used. These can only be gained by making the required part with a schematic in a factory.

6. Ranged - Both 33% Damage and 33% Speed (please note, these are two seperate powerups) For Melee weapons just about everything. Grenade powerups also sell extremely well.

Thanks,

If the factory makes a crate with 10 powerups, will I be able to sell the powerups individually or do I have to sell it per crate ? Another question; what's the normal price of an equiment factory? Heh , I am looking wether my business planis reasonable.

1. Once you have a crate of items, you can either split the crate into smaller crates, say splitting one crate often into two crates of five, or you can remove single items from the crate.

2. As for the cost of factories, that would be a server based question, on Ahazi they sell for around 40-50k each.

I probably dont need to ask, but you have both mineral and chemical in as high an OQ as you can get your hands on, right?

1- What factory do I need to make powermods for weapons ? Equipment

2- Are schematics limited: i.e. if I have it set up on 1000 units, will the schematic dissapear after 1000 units? Yes, it dissapears. You can continue to use the schematic untill you reach the limit.

3- What happen if I have a 1000 unit schematic and I have only put 300 units of resources? It makes 300 units, then you get an out of ingredients message. You can go back later with the correct resources and make the other 700 at anytime. - Remember here, the SAME resources.

4- Is it expensive to buy and maintain a factory ? I sell factories for 40K, your price will vary based on the server economy. They cost 50 credits/hour and 40 units of power. (I think. I know that the price is different than harvesters and power generators. But since I pay for 30 days at a time I forget.)

5- I heard there is some kind of crate involved using a factory, how and what to use? Factories produce items INTO crates of varing size, (with some exceptions). Powerups are crated in units of 50 I believe, may be 25.

5- From your experiences, what kind of power mods sell the best? Speed + Max Damage

Again thank you for any answers on above questions,

Aye I have, but it's not 33%.How muchoveral quality do I need to get to 33%, 990 or 1000 ?

Cal, I sell (when I can keep them stocked) a couple hundred crates of powerups per week, they are crates of 10, as I already stated.

Galaxy, I use 997 OQ Ore, and 980 OQ Fibreplast.

About your materials:

The maximum final % increase of a powerup -- max about 33.33% for the primary characteristic -- is achieved with two materials with overall quality of 1000. But you can get over 33 with 990+ materials. For powerups -- taking 6 mineral and 4 chemical -- the mineral OQ counts for more. In your case,

(997*6 + 980*4)/10 = 990.2

So you just make it. But it might take 10 great experimentation points to get it.
