I don't have it right now cause I'm at work, but send me your e-mail and I'll send it to you. Works very well, but it is not afk, you still have to put the materials in the slots. I used this to get all of the crafting trees for Artisan in less than 2 hours.

The appropriate response to a dumb question. If you do a search, you'll find tons of crafting macros so you lazy grind your way through artisan and get on with your next holo prof. Here, I'll even help you:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=game_guides&message.id=93507

That thread is everything you need to know to write a macro in this game. Now go pilage our profession and move on.

No sense of sarcasm, I see

I'm not being hostile, I just dislike when people who use forums never search them to see if the answer has already been told.

I can see it infront of me:

/search for omgz0r give me a crafting macro j00 n00bs

answers found: Mathematical error, can't count that high.

/sigh

There is nothing wrong with macro's and grinding. I am not a holo grinder, but I used those methods to master architecht and artisian over the past few days on my second character. Not to even try to unlock jedi, but I wanted to try the crafting proffessions without destroying the work I put into my original account. I was a bit shocked at how easy architecht was to grind, but if you want to start actually doing work of any value right away you have to be master.

Master is not required to make a living as an artisan. I managed to pay the resources I needed to get me rolling and for the medium mineral and chemical harvestors I neede to carry me through to master artisan by selling personal harvestors and crafting tools. If you ask around and examine the bazaar to get an idea of what sells, it's not difficult to address the market and at least break even while working your way up the trees. Figuring out how to support yourself with your artisan skills (at least partially) is part of learning the profession, just don't expect to storm up the trees. I'd even argue that it's pretty vital for you to learn how to make money on your products if you want to pursue an elite crafting profession because mastering one of those takes LOTS of resources to work and master successfully.

Chris

The macros are atool like any other and they are there for us to use if we want. At launch ofcourse it was easier to make a living as an artisan but now ppl dont want to bother with your good unless you are a master. are you going to say buy a weapon witth x amount of damage or onw with xx, your going to go with quality plain and simple.

I have to concede one point about grinding quickly to master, now that I hit master Architecht I was woefully underprepared for the demand. I didn't think I would get tells every 5 minutes for orders I cannot fill with my leftover grinding resources.

That said, I didn't get any requests for anything til I hit master. I agree with the above poster, to make a living you got to have the master tag, and if you grind to get there, I see no problem with it. Some people don't want to wait months to be useful.

Additionally, I have a second account. I did my fair share of slow and steady on my first character, I am a day one player so I wasn't about to lollygag around for a few months working up a 2nd. I knew exactly what I wanted, planned my 2nd out, and when I was ready went for it. I don't regret or apologize for it either. =)

harvest a few thousand (20k ought to be enough maybe less) of crystaline gemstone

Get 3 crafting tools - and make nothing but the large glass on practice mode.

Use the enter key for everything - (double click the tool - double click the resource)

Can get all 3 levels of artisian except survey in less than a day. Trick is go up 4 levels in one branch then you can craft the other two branches without having to run for training each level.
