Thread: XP for Factory Runs?

I seem to recall reading that doing factory runs gave 10% XP compared to hand crafting items. I hadn't used a factory until recently, so I just believed that. However, I just started using factories, and a couple runs later, I don't believe I have gotten any XP from my factory runs at all. Am I remembering outdated information? Am I remembering incorrect information? Is this a bug?
What is the current situation with XP and Factory runs?

Yes, you are remembering out dated information.
Just like remembering that we were supposed to get usage XP when people used items we crafted.

I had been away from crafting for a while, but I hadn't realized just how much had changed while I was gone...

I've never seen xp for a factory run, but there were some reports not too long ago that indicated it might've been related to food factories (some artisans were seeing xp from an equipment factory).
I have seen usage xp, though, at least on food. It's easier to catch, since you get 50% of the original crafting xp when the last dose is eaten. Heck, I even earn xp when I eat the last dose of my own food. I'm not sure how longer-lasting items (weapons, armor, vehicles, etc) are supposed to work, though.

Long long time ago we used to get exp from factories but for some reason they removed it. I do wish they cut some of times down per object when using factory.

i very well could be mistaken but i heard you still get it but basicly have to baby sit the factory (stay near it) dont realy know cause i cant afford a factory yet

I heard the same, you have to babysit the Factory but the only time i would see this fit is while afk.. otherwise what are you supposed to do? Count rocks for 25hrs while the schematic runs out?
