I think vehicle paint jobs should last 10 - 20 times longer than they do now.
Any chance of this getting fixed so VCKs are worth using for anyone other than a Master Artisan?

I comletely agree.
IALWAYS keep my vehicle painted, but it is so annoying when it wears off.
The fact that most people do not bother is an obvious indication that the system in place isn't quite working.
I would hope if the duration is increased, that people will bother, but to be honest, most players seem to not have a care about anything that doesn't grant them benefits or more credits.
SOE can't do much about that, but at least they could make people that do care, have an easier time with keeping their bike the colors they wanted.
BTW in no way am I suggesting that vehicles with custom colors should grant any benefits, heh.
Yes, increase the duration of custom colors... PLEASE!!

Like many, many others, I sell the occasional kit, but they mostly go to my friends or my backpack. It does make it very easy to pick my bike out of the crowd, but I'd sure like to sell more...

I agree, there is no market for these anymore (the fad is over) players don't see any value in paying 500-6000cr for something that only lasts 20 calls of the vehicle.
I think they should last 2 weeks to a month minimum.
BTW i'll bet that the Devs made the new AV-21 default colors (red/yellow) as ugly as they are to force players to paint them.

Considering that the cost of a paint kit is a significant fraction of the cost of the vehicle, I think it should be permanent.
