How do these work?
Do higher mind stats make better objects? Do they make a lower failure rate during experimentation?
Does a 42 + Crafting Station in your home help you make better objects?
What about the ratings on the tools themselves, will a 5.10 make inferior objects to a 14.5?
Thanks in advance.

You attribute the wrong thing to Mind, in fact, you get a higher chance of good, great, amazing successes when you use crafting stations that have high effectiveness. Same thing for a crafting tool, your chances of success are much greater with a +14.5 tool than with a +5.1 tool. So far as mind goes, it has no bearing whatsoever on crafting.
Hope this is what you were looking for.

Yes its not like some other games where 'mind' or intelligence/wisdom make for a better crafter. But I can see where you're coming from.

This helps a lot. I'm a crafter (Master Artisan/Novice Armorsmith) who has all mind stats maxed, but is trying to go up the pistoleer tree without getting killed CONSTANTLY!
What are the maxs for the tools and stations?

Tools max at 15.0 effectiveness and stations 45.0. Only achieved for one day.
