Hello

I am getting a lot of these emails which immediately is proceeded by a factory shutdown email. All I do is walk over to the factory, check the power, ingredients, and the schematic again and then restart the factory waiting for another such email. The particular factory that this is happening in is a clothing one, and it does not seem to matter what I am making.

I would greatly appreciate any comments or thoughts on why this might be happening. Thank you for your time.

Hello

This is a message I get from when trying to manufacture large schematics with my clothing and armor factory. The message arrives by both email and a system message. The factory will immediately stop right afterwards for no apparent reason. The factory has power, rent money, the right ingredients for the schematic and room in the output hopper for the final product. I simply walk over to my factory and restart until I get the message again.

If anyone else has encountered this before I would love to here what you know about it. At first I thought it was sporadic, I am beginning to think that it happens when I try to run large schematics for subcomponents. It is becoming quite annoying when a schematic for a 1000 trim takes 5 days instead of maybe a day and a half, it becomes even more annoying when I'm making the trim for a chef, synth cloth for doctors, RFP's, or wookie segment things for armor smiths etc.

Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

This usually happens when your output hopper is around 80 or so. THe devs are aware of this issue, but I have no idea if they plan to fix it, or if they even knwo how ...

The apparent cause of that error is the output hopper getting "full". I quoted full, because it's usually no where near 100 items. One theory I've seen is that architect experimentation is supposed to effect the hopper size, that sort of got taken out but not really. There's some internal "hopper size" that has no relation to the 100 displayed to us mere players. :rolleyes.

Anyway, try taking some crates out of the output hopper, and that has taken care of this error for most people.

I get this one when the output hopper hits 75%. Our theory (probably wrong) is that the factory wants to be sure that there is room for 25 individual items before it makes them, even though it is packing them neatly into a crate.

I usually have my input hopper at around 75/100 and my output hopper at around 80/100. I usually get it when it reaches about 90/100, lol.

I get it quite often with virtually nothing in input. For me, it's all about how much I have in output.

What I don't understand, is only my tailor, making tailor subcombines gets this! My armorsmtih DOESN'T, and she always has both ends nearly maxed. I frequesntly have to clean out the hopper mid stream to keep it from hitting the 100 limit. No problem. I was shocked when my tailor finally started doing factory runs and got this. I thought it was because my factories are near a server boundary or something...

Guess I'll have to empty my output hopper for her then...

Hello

I cleared my output hopper down to 50 items and started it up again tonight. Hopefully this will take care of the problem.

Thank you for your input on this problem for me.

Thank you for this post!!!!

I have been getting the same message and even the CSR could not figure out what was wrong, lol. Perhaps its time for them to invest in a career change!

It always happens to me near the last bit of a 1000 unit run of power ups! Now I know why!

Thank you so much.

Yup, I get this error a lot. As a matter of fact, I got it this morning on my equipment factory.

One theory on the actual hopper size is to look at the number created when crafted (and experimented). This will be the total number of individual units that both the input and output hoppers can contain.

So take a factory with 1000 trim, 1000 Synth Clothin the output hopper, and you arenow making a run of 1000 fiberplast panels (crates of 50each) Your output hopper should be able to hold the 100 crates you will have (40 trim, 40 synth cloth and 20 Panels). However you find that you get the error at the end of the run, because you have 2990 items + the resources in the input hopper.

I am going to do this in a warables factory this week to check my numbers and see if this is indeed the problem. Will let you all know the outcome.

I've gotten the error as well. I actually put in a ticket about it and got a response that it was a known issue that they were looking into. I never really understood how it came about. It's good to hear that I'm not the only one that has gotten this.
