Does it help on anything?

I know it reduces critical failures..

but does it help with the success rate as well?

Assembly is used after the experimentation step and only keeps you from crit. failing on the final assembly and losing your ingredients.


The better your assembly skill, the less chance for a crit. fail. Not a big deal on a Powerup or CDEF but can be heart-breaking if it happens on a Krayt weapon.
