I can confirm that I have spent hours making a variety of ranged powerups and never seen max damage and speed as a combination. I even got some powerups with four beneficial stats but these two seem to be exclusve. If anyone has made one of these, I want to see a screenshot.

Resources do not affect the atrributes of powerups. Resources only affect the quality of the powerup - that is, is it a 26/13 powerup or a 33/16 one?
If you want to get different attributes on powerups, try making different types of powerups. For Melee weapons, you're mostly screwed as there's only one type and the only marginally useful thing you're going to get for a primary is health or mind cost.
For ranged weapons, it's more varied. If you're looking for max / min, use a muzzle. If max / speed, use a coupler or grip.
There's a write-up on powerups around here somewhere, I wish it was stickied...

As far as I know there is no max damage / speed or speed / max damage combination for ranged powerups. If someone has actually built one I'd be _really_ interested in knowing the name the game assigned to it!

Hmm. I could swear I had damage / speed or speed / damage. Maybe it was min damage tho. I'll check my schematics& inventory tonight...

I can definitely confirm speed / damage on melee powerups (secondary / tertiary traits, of course). Still unsure on ranged, but you could be right there...

i used a coupler to make a speed/damage powerup, it adds .7 to speed and +0 to min dmg =\ but at least it can be confirmed. i forget the name of it as i was making multiple powerups at the time but i mainly use couplers as i have found that for me they are the best to use

So that everyone is clear...you are referring to MINIMUM damage and speed (which I have as primary and secondary stats on some of my powerups), not MAX damage and speed which is the topic of this thread.
Right?

Wrong. I have a melee powerup schematic that's mind / min / speed / max. Maybe not in that order, but all 4 of those attributes are present on the same powerup.

For what it's worth, here are the combinations of ranged powerups I've made that have attack speed as the primary characteristic. Hope it helps.
Hair Trigger Grip of Aiming Attack Speed Min Damage
Hair Trigger Grip of Reckoning Attack Speed Wound Chance
Hair Trigger Grip of Recoil-Deadening Attack Speed Health Cost
Hair Trigger Grip of Steadying Attack Speed Max Range
Quick Charge Coupler of Compensation Attack Speed Mind Cost
Quick Charge Coupler of Overpowering Attack Speed Ideal Range
Quick Charge Coupler of Searing Attack Speed Point Blank Penalty

Halaster,
I was speaking regarding the post of the person just above my post, not regarding your post. I'm sorry for the miscommunication.
