I'm fairly new to the artisan profession and not a hologrinding artisan. I'm moving up the weaponsmith skill tree and have created a few schematics of what I think are slightly above average weapons and would like to get a factory to produce them but I have no idea where they are or how to get one . I don't even know if I'm supposed to buy one or if they are located somewhere or what. I'm clueless. Any help is appreciated.

Contact an Architect in game, I know on Intrepid they gor for between 30-45k. The maintenance costs are somewhere around 50-60 credits per hour, same for power.

However, just as advice I know for me at least I waited until master WS to start making weapons in bulk, or at all really. Once you hit Master WS you wil get the all important extra 2 experimentation points. Generally I made decent weapons and put them on the bazaar for cheap to make a littel money while grinding. I know that putting laser rifles on the bazaar was always a sure bet for a quick sale.

Good luck

Ah..to be new again.

Factories are just like harvesters. Buy one from an architect, put the maintenance and resourses in. Load your schematic and off it goes.

Good Luck

There are also a few different types of factory and you'll need the corresponding one to what you want to produce.

In this case an Equipment Factory.

If you are on Tarquinas by any chance I've a spare one you can have for 1 credit.

Factories are fun. You will find all types in my vendor, if you are on Shadowfire.

Few tips:

+ use your best crafting tool (they go up to 15+) and use your best crafting station (they go up to +45) to create your schematic

+ I find it useful at the last stage to *somtimes add to the descrition of some items. (For example, there are 3 type of chairs, how do tell them apart). I would put Red Chair or Round Chair or BER 13 to my descriptions.

+ when making schematics, the same EXACT resources usedto makethem MUST be the ones you use in the factories. Very common error. This is more important too, when schematics also want additonal identical subcomponents (needing the same serial numbers)

+ have large amounts (100k-200k or more)of the same resources to keep your schematics use longer. They are good to make up to 1000 items.

+ the harvester does not need to be turned off to access the output harvester. Just keep you mouse on the options tab and click it again and you will be able to access the output hopper while the factory is still in operation

I think that's it.
