i make good quality tools to sell to pay my way to weaponsmith. Tonite i sold a few to a guy he left then msg me that the tools came up with an error "too damged". I told him i would give him a refund he came back and i gave him his money back. i took the tools over and made a bofa treat with each one. I msg him back saying that i just made stuff with them he says well i was making an apron. Does the items difficulty to make have any effect on what items can be made with a damaged crafter? I died on a run from vendor to home a few days back and i know about 6-8 crafters were involved
. if this is true i will have to drop my hole inventory of crafters about 600-700k worth. I didn't realize dmg had any efect on crafting tools and didn't see them on my list of things that took dmg, but did see them popup to insure. last is there any way to tell how moch dmg a crafter has taken? i saw the guy later tonite spaming he had an apron for sale so i'm not sure if he just had a change of heart or not...
thanks for any info,

Most likely he was crafting a loot schematic apron which requires completely undamaged tools as an ingredient in the schematic. These aprons will not accept any tools that are even slightly damaged. I'm sure the rest of your tools are fine for regular crafting although once any tool reaches 0% it will not craft even the simplest of items.
The only time that you can see the damage a tool has taken is in the popup window when you clone...if you scroll down the list they are there with all other insurable items with the damage percentage shown.
Hope this helps.

With that being the case, it might be a good idea to leave the tools "at home" while you are out and about.
