ok, today i was runningsouth from anchor to my store. On the way i was making a harvester and in the middle of everything i was attacked by a kreetel, and my crafting session was closed. so promptly pulled out my power hamer smashed that rude sob. but now when i try to start a new crafting session it comes up with " Unable to start the crafting session! ". i have 4 crafing tools im my inven, and none work now. i have emptyed my inventory, i have reloged, i have even taken a crafting tool that was not in my inven when the problem occoured<<< and none of these work. and i am really getting tired of not being able to make Shizznit, because well duh I AM A FREAKEN ARTISAN!

I had this myself once, the solution was quite simple. You probably have an item in the output hopper: right click the tool to get the radial and select "hopper" or something similar (am at work cannot check ingame) to get the item out of it.

it isn't just one crafting tool! it is every single one i pick up and try to use. read my first post... all of it. i cant make>> it says this "failure to start crafting session"<<< it isn't just a problem with the tool.

there's a command to use, it's either /stopcrafting or /stopcraftingsession, I don't remember which.

First check and make sure that you haven't run foul of the full inventory problem. If you don't have enought room for the object you create it will sit in the output hopper and you won't be able to use the tool. If that is the case if you open the radial menu on the tool and hold your pointer over an option, I believe that it's the start crafting option, you will get a secondary option that will eject the finished item. Of course you will need room in your inventory to do this.

If that doesn't work then the tool may be stuck in the middle of a crafting session. Try typing in the following commands in the chat window. /next; /next; /createprototype; /createprototypethese should reset the tool.

ok i said that i couldNOT USE ANY CRAFTING TOOL, even if i droped everything in my inventory and picked up a crafting to that was not in my inventory when the problem occoured. So what makes me think you can't read?? YOU TELL ME TO EMPTY THE HOPPER!

In defense of everyone else, False, you will realize once you've been on these boards for a while that the same five or six issues come up again...and again....and again....I myself am guilty of only skimming posts at times, thinking I've already read it 10 million times before. Cut these guys a break, they were only trying to help you out. I'm glad you were able to fix the problem

Oh, and before you get angry and tell everyone to read your post before replying, maybe you should take a page from that book and try searching the forums before making a new post on a frequently-posted problem.

I haven't gotten a response yet. I hope to at least help out whoever the new correspondant is... I have 3 years of Software Engineering experience and did very well organizing several clubs and events in college.

The only mark against me are a few flames I participated in on the Intrepid board... but those *exploting* rebels on Intrepid have no honor and deserve all the flames they get.
