Well I am nearing Eng 4 and having troubles deciding which to go on to...Weaponsmith or Armorsmith. If anyone has any recommendations or anything it would be highly appreciated, as I know both have their ups and downs.

I personally chose professions that I found interesting. I have achieved Novice Merchant because I wanted to run a shop. InRL I have a huge intrest in business.I chose Novice Chef because I love to cook in RL. Iam working towards Archietct because I wanted tomake homes and furniture. Another RL hobby I collect house plans and room layouts for a time when I hope to build and decorate my own home from the ground up hehehe.

Chose the one that you think will be the most fun for you or do them both if you want to spend the points.

I agree. I want to take Novice Tailor just because it interested me. My hubby also plays and he scoffed at the idea at first because he didn't think it would net as much as Weaponsmith or Armorsmith would. I'm doing what I want to do. That's what the game is all about! (He's wants to be a smuggler, btw.) You can always either take both or do one and if that doesn't satisfy you, then sacrifice the points and take the other. Simple.

I agree with the other folks, do what you want. I went onto weaponsmithing, I'm just a crafting loon and the firearms line just has so many components its kinda fun-although I'm specializing in Melee. There's nothing, for me at least, like having some one praise the work you've done .

If the Space/Vehicle expansion/patch introduce new professions I'd like to give them a twirl, especially ship building. If not I'll probably mosey on over to DE, I'm a born gimp so I love broken professions.

I am a Pistoleer and I am debating a move to BH. But due to the massive skill point cost I am a little nervous.
I am very much a solo player and I need more firepower. Will I find it in BH? or am I just as good with Pistoleer?

Thanks for the advice.

I won't touch the firepower thing, but if you like to solo then BH may be your thing. Doing BH missions means soloing, so if you want to master BH you will solo a lot. If you are more intersted in PvP and don't want to master BH, then you may want to consider other professions.

Hi, let me first start by saying I've been playing since Launch and have never made a single post until now. I currently have a Jedi on Kauri and unlocked right before the patch. My Jedi skills are 0/2/0/0 Lightsaber, 1/0/0/0 Force Wielder, and all additional Novice boxes. I see people saying that they get 200k Jedi XP an hour, blah blah blah. I'm lucky to get 50k Jedi XP in 3 hours. The best thing I can find to hunt is Quenkers on Dantooine. They give 573 XP and drop in 3 hits. I'm also using a very nice Saber with very low Force Cost. My question to you is, what should I hunt for better XP? Because this ain't cuttin' it.

Thanks in Advance

I'm not an expert on all details of jedi, but I'm guessing your hitting your upper limit. You should see your max exp per kill increase as you level up a bit more. I've been hunting pikets, huurton stalkers, grassland voritors, seething bols, etc and getting anywhere from 700-980 exp. But, I'm also LS 0404, Enh 0004, Heal 1000, Pow 1000.

Keep at it, once you get another LS box or so, you'll be doing better.

can i have a shirt with +28 melee defence and actually be awarded the +28, or is the fact it will say +28 in my skills readout irellevent and in realityi actually have +25?

i suspect they are maxed at 25 just like the mods in bio clothing, but im not 100% sure
