My friend is a master artisan (who is forum phobic) and she is having the worst time making decent melee powerups. Specifically, she is having a devil of a time getting anything useful. Most of her powerups are getting stuck with 32% ideal range which, as far as I can, are completely useless (the range mod has no obvious effect).

Is it possible to make max damage / min damage melee powerups?

Is it possible to make Speed / min damage powerups?

Does anyone have any tips on getting the game to make useful powerups?

I think the whole ideal of powerups getting random attributes is pretty absurd. It took her forever to get a decent set of ranged powerup schematics and the melee ones are proving impossible.
