I am on enginiering 4 and trying to for Novice weaponsmith ..

What does earns me general crafting points ?
DoI earn it ifI craft anything or just specific items ? and what are those items ?

And once I reach novice weaponsmith , When i craft weapons do I earn weaponsmith points ,general or both ?
