Is it me, or since last patch, in addition to all the changes announced, the rate of failure at assembly stage and while experimenting has dramatically risen?

At engie 3 I seem to get as high a nearly 1/4 total/partial failure, using high quality materials. I'd like to know if anyone else has been experiencing the same problem.

Nope. I rarely get failures. Experimenting or building. It's all in the tools you use, there. And durability. While you can't track it, I'm sure that that experimental durability means the longer you use a tool, the less effective it gets.
