What qualifies for Gen. Crafting exp. ?

I know powerups give you exp., however why doesn't Wind power deeds give my more general crafting exp., even when I use the Generic crafting tool to make it? Does it always have to be something under General Items?

Any type of building count toward the type of exp that an architect needs *shrug*

Its makes sence but it was highly anoying to find out when I got eng 3, my thought was to crank out extractors and sell them to help me get the cash to support my own on my way to Eng 4 and eventaly to Droids
