Thread: You successfully recover a particularly rich sample!

Has anyone else wondered why you receive less Surveying experience when "You successfully recover a particularly rich sample!" compared to normal? I would think it would be the other way around. It shows that you did a very good job when you find a rich sample. Why would you receive less experience? Not that I need the Surveying experience. I just thought this was interesting.

I guess the rationale is that since you're getting more resources than normal, they balance it out by giving you less XP than normal.

Following that logic, I would think Brawlers and Marksman would get less combat XP for taking out larger beasts since they get more weapon XP.
