Thread: Breakdown on harvesters needed please

Can anyone explain what the costs are for different size harvesters? Im curious what the maintenance costs are for small, medium, and large harvesters. In addition, what are the power costs? I'm trying to find out whats most efficient.
I am also a starting surveyor so don't have much money to start with large ones but can work my way up if its much more efficient.
Lastly, can you move or pick up harvesters anymore? If so, how. I just started my first factory also but dont know anything about them either.

Personal harvesters:
30 credits and 25 power per hour.
Extraction rate 2 kg/hr.
Hoopper size 25k
Medium harvesters:
60 credits and 50 power per hour.
Extraction rate 4-7 kg/hr.
Hopper size 50k+
Heavy harvesters:
90 credits and 75 power per hour.
Extraction rate 7-10(11?) kg/hr.
Hopper size 100k+
The original extraction rates were 2/4/7, but with the 10/08 patch architects can now experiment on subcomponents to increase the extraction rate and hopper size. Pricing on experimented harvesters hasn't yet settled but in theory i'd expect to pay more for a medium harvester of rate 7 than a heavy at rate 7, since the medium is more efficient in terms of energy and maintenance.
Costs for harvesters depend on your server and the type of harvester. As a very rough estimate mediums are between 10k and 50k and larges between 80k and 120k.
