I just got the game a few days ago and hope to be a weapon smith. I just reached engineering 3 and was wondering what the best ways to gain resources and credits necessary to move through the rest of the engineering tree to get to WS. I've heard that personal mineral extractors are the best way to go when it comes to crafting for good experience at this point. the mineral extractors require quite a bit of steel and other elements so I'm assuming the ectractors of my own are the best way to go about getting the resources, where's the best place(s) on Naboo to extract steel and whats the easiest way to earn credits to pay for the maintenance?

this whole probably made no sense but if anyone can help it'd be much appreciated.

ok im a noob too, but from my hours of crafting this is what i have found.

Under your general crafting kit and the others tab, look for the survaying tool for steel and other metals. Craft your new servay devise and then click on it. First you will have to chose your range, then click on it again and hit survay. I list of percentages should come up and it will even give you a way point for the best percentage in the area. Go to that and hit servay again until you eventually get up to a high percentage. Anything over 70 for steel is good although i currently have one at 97 percent. When you find one set out a personal harvester and the options are all on there for what you have to do money wise and such.

Ok, thats all from this noob,

start small, i bought my personal size harvesters for under 1K each. Do some missions to raise the capital then start your operations. You can sell your harvested units instead of crafting them to get more money to buy an even bigger harvester to repeat the same cycle.

I guess for me one of the bigger problems is really deciding what to sell items for, ESPECIALLY resources, when looking at the market and what others are selling them for theres a large margin of what sells for what.
