Thread: Storage Capacity of hoopers need to be fixed too
Anyone else still have this problem. My solar generator's still can only hold 1600. Befor the patch, I would get 3-6k of power out of them and still only be at 4-10% of storage capacity, after patch I can only hold 1600. Now I would have to empty them 2-3 times a day now, to keep them from getting full, I just don't have the time for that. I went ahead and put them all back in deed form, waiting till there is a fix. I hope there is a fix, I saw one for the power thing, but not for the hooper capacity. Should I just give up and buy new ones, made after the patch. Is anyone having problems with the after patch ones? Do they hold more?
Please help,
Thanks for the reply. I guess, I will destroy the four I have, and buy new ones. I am just getting tired of the things we have to go through, to be able to play this game. I just spent this mourning, looking for copper. Each time I find some, It leads me to the mountains where I can't put down harvestors; or leads me to the water. I just wasted three hours, and the only place I could place one, only had 28% concentration. Just up the hill there was 85% concentration, but can't put anything down there. This I notice happens alot to me, it seems all the best concentration, are places you can't put anything down. I try to love this game, but the game doesn't love me. I switch professions, to try to make things feel new again, but still end up sad. I am sorry to whine, but I am coming to the point, that I just am not having fun anymore. I started playing the game the day it came out, went up my class fast. I then droped everything and started a new profession, to try something new, which is artisan. I now am having problems with hoopers and power bug's, and being able to place harvestors. I will keep trying, hate to have spent almost four months on something, just to give up. Sorry again, just needed to vent, hate to keep it all in. I have posted over the last two days about the capacity of hoopers, and never hear anything from the dev's. I know they are very busy, but I would be nice to hear they are working to fix the hooper thing. I have seen others post about this problem, so I know I am not alone.
Good Luck to all of you,
I even tried to place these and redeed them, 6000cr wasted, they are still at 1700 capacity.
If I was a Architect I'd try and build some new ones, but since I am just a Master Artisan, well I guess I am going to have to shell out another 25K for new ones...sigh, knowing my luck, they'll fix the problem the morning after I do.
I'm having the same problem. I bought 6 heavies just before the patch for 800,000. Then I set them all down and deposited 100,000cr of maintenance and power in each. I'm out around 1.5 million credits, which is the sum of everything I've accomplished in the last 3.5 months.
This issue is supposedly being resolved, according to the announcements forum:
-------------------------------------------
All harvesters that were in deed form during the patch yesterday when now placed the storage capacity is changed to 12,000 to 25,000. Where harvesters that were placed in the world have a storage capacity of 100,000.
Fixed, verifying
old harvesters that were on the ground pre patch are working fine and newly created harvesters are working fine. Deeds that were made pre-patch and placed now are not working, and we are working on a fix. Issue for these deeds should be resolved October 10th
-----------------------------------------------
October 10th came and went 5 days ago, still no word.
The charm has just about worn off this game. I wonder if the new Total War title is out yet.
I had to destroy a couple of personal harvs due to the patch but thats nothing compared to your loss. I dont know if they will be able to fix those bugged harvswith a hotfix or patch. That would be cool but I dont see it happening.. Since you lost so much due to this bug maybe you should take it up with a csr. Maybe take a few screenshots so you can prove your loss and they might reimburse you for your loss..
My guess is that the hopper/extraction "hotfix" for existing harvesters wasn't a code change, it was a database update. They searched through the database for harvester deed objects and changed the fields for those attributes. The first time, they reduced the stats, and any harvesters in "installation mode" (actually placed and extracting) weren't affected. When you placed that modified deed, the solar's hopper size got fixed at that level. Then a few days later, they did another database update to return the harvesters to the prior level, again just changing deeds. Since your solar wasn't a deed at that point, it wasn't affected, and unless they are going to do the database updates in the future, it's probably stuck at that level.
I consider this is serious breakdown in communication. First, this code change was identified on Test Center, and Q said that it wasn't going to make it to live. Second, I never saw an explanation on what we were supposed to do to get the existing harvesters fixed. There should have been something in the update notes a day or two before the second update (since not every player reads the forums) saying that any harvesters with the bad extraction/hopper values had to be redeeded form so they could be reverted back to their old state.
In consider myself extremely lucky that all my harvesters were placed during the first "fix". I did purchase and place a new personal vaporator, just to check that it was only on new ones, and that didn't get updated with the second fix, but I'm only out 600 credits.
I just wish the dev's would post somthing about this. Even if it told us they can't fix it, and we had to buy new ones, just some kind of word from them. It's the silence of the dev's, that bugs me, like they don't care. It only took me seconds to write this post, so why can't they just make a short post too. It won't take them away from their job to long, but would mean alot to me. Just to hear something about this. I am not saying this is the only problem, needing a reply, but I would like to hear something. Enough said on my part.
Good luck to all of you, that have lost from this.
Here you go. I have never used it personally so I dont know how customer savy they are heh.. But heres the link to csr contacts.
