My survey tools says I haven't maxed their range yet... I'm at 320... Anyone find skill tapes or something that gives you enough skill to up the range one more time?

Does being Master Artisan benefit surveying any?

Yes I'm a Master Artisan and I have 640 so I think you get it with MA

Moxin, you must be mistaken, there is no Survey skill mod in the Master Artisan box.

The higher, yet unreachable, numbers are from back in the days in beta. At some time they reduced our max survey range, but didn't change the tool properties window. I've never seen or experienced it, but maybe if you get enough Survey skill tapes, you get higher range? I don't know (I myself have +3 survey, it does nothing for range.

You'll need +10 to surveyto get another range. I have never seen a +survey skill tape and would love to get my hands on a bunch!

If you examine the tool it says it has a 384 range but no 640. So any plus to survey would only allow you to use 384 range I believe.

Hmmm... That's not what mine says when I examine it. Set 5 pts, Max 6 pts... Range 320 set, 640 max...
