hey all, I was wondering if I could get some help on something. What is a good/going rate of master artisanwares (I.e. micro sensor suites, control units...etc). any help on this would be appreciated.

Thank you,

I thinkControl Units up at 300 creds and MSS at 1000 would be a fair price. So many of the elite crafters that need them take MArt anyway, so there isn't all that much of a market for them.

More often than not, I trade them to elite crafters as part of the cost of the item I'm buying.

simply put you're 1/2 correct, if you want to be an independat crafter in one of the elite classes then yes it's worth it otherwise if you don't care who you get components from no it's not, almost every item the MA makes is optional, IF you do add it it's sopose to make the item better, (i'm still in doubt on that i haven't noticed any real differance) but most of the items it's not imparative to have.

so yes they are basicly nothing more then more power ups.

I just made nov. architect and I'm still working on Surv. 4. Some of the items in Master Artisan are needed for items in the Architect profession. I can't make crafting stations yet for this reason.

At Master Artisan, you can make electronic components (that are sometimes necessary and sometimes optional for other schematics).

Off the top of my head:

Micro Sensor Suite, Control Unit, Power Conditioner, Electronics GP Unit...

That's all that I can remember for now. If you sell on big markets (Naboo, Tatooine, Corellia) you can get 600-900 for a Control Unit, and probably between 900-1400 for a Micro Sensor Suite.

I do pretty well just throwing those on the Bazaar. Usually, I'll drop 6-10 Micro Sensor Suites, and they'll be gone within 2 days...usually to the same person. So yes, there is a need for them.

I agree with Gaebek. You don't have to get master unless what you want requires that you have those electronic component. Heck I'm a master and I haven't even found a use for some of the things such as the Nemodian Cage.

I feel like such a noob. I'm a master tailor, and I just hit master artisan to help out a friend by making some components for his armor. I can't figure out some things.

1) we have a house with a clothing and armor station and a droid/equipment station. It seems as if the station that affects your tool is the one closest to you - so you have to be sure to be standing next to the clothing station if you want to use it - or at the very least be standing closer to clothing than to droid/equipment. Is that right?

2) I can't figure out how to make really nice crafting tools! It seems like I use the best materials and experiment my butt off and still get a crappy tool. Do I need to buy someone else's tool and use that to make tools in order for me to get a good tool? Are there particularly important stats for the metals that I'm not taking into account? Are some types of "mineral" more favored than others?

3) to that end, i haven't attempted armor/weapon repair tools yet, but any advice on that would be appreciated.

What makes the best powerups?

And what is the best things to sell?

Been along time since I made these butIthinkhaving your two items with as high of overall quality as possible will help immensily (sp). WIth ten experimentation points and using only one at a time to experiment with I consistantly got powerups using materials with an average of around 900-950 overall quality at say +32%primary +12% secondary and around +8% tertiary stat. I made couplers mainly just because they seemed to me to have the best chance at getting increased weapons speed as the primary stat.

As far as what is the best thing to sell it all depends on your market place.

I can only comment on the situation on my server but due to the sheer number of artisan-based players (i.e. those that have moved on to the elite artisan professions). The only artisan items that really sell are the consumables (power ups, droid batteries etc). There is a potential market for the master artisan items (none of which are usable on their own, but are all part of something else) however most elite-artisan profession players have already taken master artisan due to their dependence on these components.

Powerups are an excellent market that I luckily tapped before most players thought of it early on.. To get the best out of your powerups, what I use is the HIGHEST OQ chem and metal, 985 MINIMUM.. I mostly use 990+ OQ to get 33.16% / 16.33%....
