I don't see green ovals, but that's probably just because I'm using a different color scheme.
If you're talking about the rounded rectangles on the item details screen (just before you name or experiment on it), that's how good that item is in the category listed above it. Better quality resources and experimentation can raise these. For survey tools, I believe it's "Effectiveness", but experimentation doesn't matter on survey tools. Even for items where experimentation has an effect, this doesn't have a firm correlation to anything like price, but better values means better items which you should be able to charge more for.

Hi, I was wondering what these mean/like what are they worth: the green ovals benteath the value heading when you craft something. Example, I make a chem survey tool and the crafting kit says its value is two green ovals; so is taht like 200cr or what? thanks alot
