Thread: Has grinding been nurfed?
I dont know if its some sort of fault on my end, but all of a sudden I cannot get a 4th crafting session going if I have 3 tools crafting. When I try to initialize the 4th, I get a message saying the crafting session has ended!
Ive made new tools.. even baught tools from other people and it still happens.
Basically I cannot have more than 3 tools crafting at the same time! It ALWAYS happens when I try to start the 4th tool.. no matter which tool it is. Ive even triedit on several servers! Has anyone experienced this?
Is this a stealth nurf or something to maybe slow down people grinding after their holocrons told them to?
I have just asked a friend to verify this and it is true.. Here is the situation:
It seems you cannot have more than 3 tools 'working' IF you use practice... by the time you start the 4th while other 3 tools are still working, the tool aborts.
This it seems is a stealth nurf to grinding. and it seems recently implemented because I grinded to Master DE using 5 tools at the same time a few weeks ago.
This is an annoying bug (or maybe "feature") that has popped up recently- while using multiple crafting tools, in practice mode, when one tool finishes creating the item, the tool you are currently using closes. So in effect, you cannot easily practice with multiple tools. In another post, Turkeh noted that this problem only happens when you are making any of the Crafting Tools (which sucks because these are the best items for new Artisans to grind). I tested this last night and he is correct. I can practice craft any other items with multiple crafting sessions and I never see the problem. It is only when I try to make Crafting Tools that I get the shutdown errors.
Hopefully the Devs will read this and all the /bug reports and change it back. Practice Grinding isn't the best answer, but at least it low level players to get to a decent level so they can make sellable items.

ah.. I was also making tools to grind with since they are the best xp. well at least im a little less pissed off about it.. I though I was going to be forced to slow my grind to master WS... hopefully it wont happen.
I also get the same error making tools

It's a bug. You'll have to kinda do grinding by hand until you can get a good xp return by making wind generators. Then switch to going crazy again as they are not affected by the bug.
What *I* find disturbing is that my crafting mission schematics now show in Genetics instead of Generic!
It happens like this:
Start one crafting tool and make something that takes more than a few seconds.
Start another crafting tool, but don't make anything. Just have the tool open.
When the first crafting tool finishes completing the item, your second crafting window will collapse and you will get the error message "the crafting session has ended".
It sounds like a bug to me because there would be easier ways to nerf grinding.
