How recent is the addition of "Tool Effectiveness" on crafting tools? Also what does this attribute effect? This was never in any patch notes (Thanks for notifying us Devs!!), so I'm hoping someone here knows.
On a similar note, do the effectiveness of Crafting Stations work similarly?

It's been in for quite awhile now, and i do believe it was in patch notes.
There hasn't been much of an official response...but GENERAL consensus is that the higher the effectivenss, the better success you have when experimenting. Some claim it reduces critical failures.
The success thing I believe...but IMO, critical fail rate is not affected.

It's been in for a few weeks, and it was included in the update notes - that is how i first noticed it.

Hey I can't seem to find any info on this through searching. What does the effectiveness mean on a crafting tool? I have a food and chemical crafting tool that has an effectiveness of -6.15 and another that has an effectiveness of -14.25. Why are the numbers negative figures and which one is better? Thanks.
