When you obtain a resource what matters more, the overall quality of the resource or the other attributes?

I sampled a resource the other day (It was Ihecodo, an Ionite Intrusive Ore) and the stats were as follows:

Cold Resistance 884

Decay Resistance 848

Heat Resistance 966

Malleability 461

Overall Quality 637

Unit Toughness 853

As you can see apart from Maleability and Overall, all the stats are pretty high.

Is this agreat resource, a good resource or just an average? Or does it depend on what you want to craft with it? How do you tell?

Also what CPU would you charge for this??

Thanks,

N.

Well OQ is usually the most important thing, and since yours is below 700 i would call it fair to good. As for the other stats, it varies by profession as to which one is important. As a DE i look for conductivity, although some items need good unit toughness. What ever your average server market price is, is gonna be your price per unit. I dunno 2-3 cpu.

The importance depends totally on what you are doing with it....

Some Architect schematics require steel with high SR and UT, but the OQ doesn't matter

Some schematics use all the stats in computing the quality of the item being made

If you are mining to sell, find a niche market. Trying to mine to make everyone happy will quickly over-extend yourself. Decide to sell to acertainprofession and learn what they need and the qualities that are important to them. Making a name for yourself among a profession as a supplier can net you major credits, if you do it right.
