Thread: Pricing on Ressources

Hi there

I placed my harvesters on various ressource spawns, when possible on high quality minerals.

But i don't know for which prices i should sell them.

Copper with very high oq? Most people only want to pay grinding cpu.

Dolovite Iron with high oq? Hardly find any customers and if i find someone willing to buy it, i don't know a price.

And another question; at which pe-level increases the energy multiplyer of radioactives?

Talk to some crafters, make some friends, and see if anyone wants to form an ongoing relationship with you. Let them tell you what resource(s) that are currently spawning that they want and in return they buy all of it from you at an agreed upon price.

That or pick *one* crafting profession and learn about it. Look at the schematics and learn what named resources need what stats to be desired. And then mine exclusively to sell to people of that profession. Watch the galaxy trade boards to learn about prices and get to know swgcraft.

Or finally, just stick to ore, steel or radioactive. Pick one, mine it all the time and just sell everything for grinding prices. You'll still make a small fortune.

Here is my humble opinion on those two metals, and you are free to use it or lose it as you see fit.

With the copper, they are probably correct, it is going to be used mostly for its conductivity, so the quality of it probably doesn't matter all that much, although I'm sure you can find someone willing to pay you more than grinding prices, it may take you awhile.

With the Dolovite Iron, if it is high-quality (at leastover 700, I'd say) you should be able to sell it for a premium priceto medics and doctors since they need Dolovite iron for advanced medical components. I just went shopping for Dolovite iron on Starsider yesterday, and I found that the pricing went something like this: upper 600's-low 700's: 5 cpu, upper 700's-800's: ~8 cpu, 900's: 10-15 cpu.

Just a tip on getting resources for med profs: The higher quality and energy the resource has, the more important it is to them. Oneof the best-selling (IMHO) resources to docs is the Class 4 Liquid Petrochem, at least onStarsider, not muchhas been spawning and what does isn't very good. I have personally paid up to 20 cpu for some, and I know people who have sold some that spawned back in December for 60cpu recently.

The reason I focus so heavily on doc's is because they have lots of specific resources they need, and many (probably most)doc's purchase their resources instead of picking up artisan and mining them. The other professions that are heavy on resources are all in the artisan tree, and so chances are they have their own harvesters.

One final thought. You can find the specific resources that certain professions need, along with what attributes are important at swgcraft.com

Hope this helps!
