Why would you need a macro? Find a spot => 50% of any resource, /sample and walk away. Come back periodically to /sample again when your action runs out and rests back up (or deal with the annoying popups). Me, I built a camp and got camping xp while I was surveying. Or instead of walking away you can read a book while all this is going on, you can deal with popups more effectively that way. Just doing this I got about 1000 survey xp every 20 minutes or so, on average.

The problem with macros are the popups ("focus device on rich concentration," "attempt (300 Action) to recover rich resource vein"), can't see how you would deal with those in a macro - and I am sure that's why they're in the game.

/sample;

/pause 4;

/sit;

/pause 20;

/stand;

/pause 4;

*repeat*

This may not be 100% correct - tweak it as necessary - but it will bypass the popup messages as well as help heal your mind between samples.
