Thread: Talus harvester issue.
Ive added the no build aroudn Dearic to my list. It does seem excessive and I'd like to try and get an offical response on to see if its correct. I also attempted to build around Dearic and I conluded that its 2500m or more all around the city.
This seems fairly common around many cities.Everycity has a no build zone around it. But in some cases, it seems tobe VERY large.I am not sure how far south east or west you have to go from Dearic, but if you want to build north of it, you have to travel a very long distance north before you escape the no build zone. Kor Vella on Corelliahas the same problem. You must travel a good distance south east or west before you can build anything, but if you go north, you have a very long trip ahead of you before you exit the no build zone, and then you find yourself well into the northern mountains.
The past two days I have been trying to put a personal moisture harverster on Talus. I either get a 'Building not permitted' or " blah blah current state". First, what is the meaning of the current state response? Two anyone else have a problem, I am anwhere from 2km to 3km from the city, and on flat land, but I can't put the thing down, any other things I need to know?
The current state one is you didnt wait unitl you had stopped moving as far as the no build you need to make sure you dont have any spawns nearby they make their own no build zone.
I continued S of the city and kept trying about every 100m and Still "Building Not Permitted"
I got WAY South of the city I mean WAYYY South and still got "Building Not permitted"
Conclusion: I was Able to Set Harvs near The Imp Outpost and Nadara on Talus no Prob but there is some kind of Problem around Dearic that at least to the S no matter how far you go you Cant Place Harvesters.
Most of the other cities I've visited, you can make camps a couple hundred meters outside city limits, but not Dearic.
My biggest problem with "No Build Zone" is that you have no way of knowing if you're in one or why. With the exception of the "You cannot build this close to another building" the default message is cryptic AND frustrating.
Since the game knows where these zones are, there should be a (toggable) overlay on the overhead map (CTRL-M) that shows you the size/borders of the zone. Not being able to camp when 2k from a city is frustrating. With harvesters, it's usually a terrain issue, but an overlay on either CTRL-M or CTRL-V would significently reduce <insert your emotion here>.
