I think it would be a good idea to implement an ability to refine and purify resources for better quality like they do in the real world. Obviuosly you would lose a percentage of the resources you were using as you throw away the chaff that get left behind as the rest gets more concentrated. if anyone else has idead or feedback please post and maybe if we get a workable plan for this the devs will like it and add it to the game.

Great idea. I play on the Wanderhome server (Mos Espa, Tatooine), and I have been able to find Iron. Why not be able to refine this iron into Steel? Steel is a better metal so we could create higher-quality items than if we made the same thing with Iron. Losing a percentage

I had the same thought as part of a miner elite class. Basically either a) you combine two materials to get a third of higher quality while losing a % of the resources or b) Just just improve a type of resource by losing a % in the making.

Say I have 1000 units of 800Overall Qualitymetal. I increase that to 900 OQ but lose 20% of the resources in the process. The % you lose can be based on your skill. The higher your skill the less you lose and teh better you make it. Like a slice it is final.

Wan't that one of the things the miner class was supposed to be able to do? (before they removed it from the game)
