Thread: Maintainence rates less than displayed?

Okay, so I recently built myself a couple of personal havesters and a wind generator to start my mining career. I put in 720 credits in each harvester, and 1440 credits in the wind generator, and it said they would last for 1 day. I also put in 600 units of power in each one, and it said that would last for one day. That was at 10:00 yesterday morning. So I get on just before 8:00 this morning, and it says I have 2 hours of power left on my harvesters and....17 hours left of maintainence. What? I'm not complaining, but I'd like to know what's going on. They're running at 8 hours per 24? 1/3 of what is displayed? Is it modified by the concentration they're sitting on? They're on about 55% (all three). The same was true of my wind generator. It said it had 17 hours left.

You must have experimented on them when you crafted them.

If you use better materials, and experiment on them, they have greater than spec efficiancy.

Do you have structure efficiency skill from the merchant tree? That will reduce costs too.

I did experiment on them and used the best materials readily available, though I don't have any skills that would reduce the cost. It seems strange that it displays the wrong cost and hours remaining though.
