hi,

I am trying to place a personal extractor. when I crafted it, it ended up in my datapad, not in my inventory. can anyone help me on how to fix this or why it happened?

I am trying to gather resources to go MDE b/c of a holocron, and I am totally lost.

If it ended up in your datapad, you created a schematic, not a prototype (i.e. the actual harvester). You could put that harvester schematicinto a structure factory, along with the resources needed for it, but that's probably more trouble than it's worth, since you won't get the crafting xp you probably need to get to Novice DE. Plus needing a structure factory.

When you craft a harvester with a structural crafting tool next to a structural crafting station (or a droid with a structural crafting module), after creating the item you get a window with three options: experiment, create prototype, and create manufacturing schematic. After experimenting on it (which only affects hopper size on personals, IIRC), you need to click "Create Prototype". After the tool sits for a period of time, the deed should appear in your inventory.
