This is when tring to make a better Crafting tool creating itself, i used the Gen/drio/weapon crafting tool tring to get one up to 100% eff, heh its a long shot but what the heck might as well try

Okay so like im stoked that i got these new crafting tools i manged to pump up to 12.75, popd some in the factory since i figured that heck more than 90% migth as well save if i cant beat it.

Im useing Copper that is conductive 941 and a crafting station that is +43.30414

For the last day or so i have been steping up the ladder with the tools, i used a 10.05 and ended up makeing the 12.75 above before i had to head to work and then i went off and made some others but never could top 12.75, most i got was 12.45, so today i get off work and come home and pull out the crate of 25 i have and started tring to make a better tool, well all of a suddenly out of the last37 combines there have been 16 Critical Failures, i tried relogging and tring this again, now okay maybe its the server just comeing online that some how effect crafting but what ticks me off is that im getting a Amazing result way more often now, but im getting critical failures alot more.

It seem that the better my tools are the worse they do in comparison to my old crap tools, **edit**?

I just tried deleting all my crafting tools excpet for 1 that is 12.75 and i am no longer getting critical failures, this is both on experimentation or first combine.

Personally if this is some kinda stelth Nerf to get rid of macro grinding i think its stupid as i need to experiment in order to hop that i get a amazing result on first combine to get the kit really high.

So i though i would take a little risk and try and run two at the same time, i read about the bug that closes the window i think its linked some how, but basically im able to kinda use two crafting stations but the criticals are starting to incress,

i currently have 3 and only 3 92% eff +12.75 crafting tools in my inventory im tring to make better tools not just the Gen ones im tring with the medic tools since im mainly a BE thats where i need a better crafting kit but steping up on this dam driod/gen tool is what i need to first,

Ishould be able to get this up to 94% eff will all great resutls if i level up on my experimentation attempts,

No im not grinding these im actually tring to make better crafting kits cause i dont like useing sub quality equipment.

It seems with 1 tool i see a normal amount of critical failures if i so much as have more than two of the same specialized tool in my inventory the chance of getting a critical failure is incressed.

for the hell of it i picked up and took out every single one of the 22 crafting tools left in my crate and drop them in my inventory im currently seeing what happens, but the fact is tring to make a crappy tool should'nt give me 40-60% critical failures when it says 0%

Yes, it's not just you.. I make 14.88 crafting tools (we have 996 copper), and I have been failing insanely.. not just on tools, but had over 70% crit fails (either assembly or experimentation) on armor! I'm a master dammit!!! So tell me why it took 8 trys to get 1 decent maberi segment (novice item)!!!! I then took 56 segments to make a set of padded (uses 25ish normally).. Then made the mistake of trying to make a few composite pieces.. *whimper* Ami colat iron is rare now on our server, andI burned 3k of it in failures.. *whimper*

I was beginning to think it was my new tools.. if I had kept my old 13+ tools,I would have switched back!!

Ah cool so they do cap at 15. awsome, dame the conductivity realyl effects it that much.

I dont know what is going on but Exeperimentation over all is not logical. I fail more often than i do with lower rateing equipment.

im part bio engineer, when i use reasouces that are like over all 60% of what they could be i make Pet Stim A's that end up with like 25 charges and heal for 416, when i use all reasouces in the high 90% i can barely touch 400 and am luckey if my charges make tup to 19.

over all its stupid Crap reasouces + crap tools + crap chances should not = better results.

A laggy server makes a HUGE difference in failure rates and I've no idea why. Watch your ping time and packet loss...if they're higher than normal, don't try to make anything "big". Even if they're not higher than usual, but you notice that your tool takes longer to open, or ingredients longer to load, etc...just don't craft.

When it's laggy and I NEED to make something...i first let the ingredients sit in the slots a few seconds before "assembling". Then I wait about 5-10 seconds between running each experiment point. It helps a lot.

But mind you, it does not mean that you'll get NO crit fails. Crit fails are pretty random, regardless of your skill, crafting stations, materials, tools. So you'll still get crit fails..but lag is a definite contributor (in my experience).

I've noticed a difference as well..

Previously, I have been able to make some nice max/min damage power-up schematics rather quickly with only 1 or 2 fails. Today, while trying to get the right powerup I wanted, I went through 80 attempts. Of those 80 attempts, I crit failed assembly 11 times. And thats with much higher quality resources.

Another exteremely annoying thing is that powerups can change type, like changing from muzzle of sighting to a muzzle of something else, when you have only 2-3 experimentation points left to go. I can't tell you how many times I just had to dump the process and start over due to this. It's just a little bit too random.

Count me in last week things were running smoothly have same tools since july +13. and last night was terrible had two crit fail finals on driodsin a row, then had three in a row on a low level item. I swear its just some trend like the resource shifts, some days are ment for crafting and others are not regardless of tool qaulity, and the devs only answer is we are looking into it. They will not confirm if this is a bugged system or not, which worries me.

I don't know how much this plays into making items such as the ones you guys are but I know when it comes to making medicine parts the Mallability of the material plays into the success/fail rate, even though it doesn't say it anywhere. Link for more info below:
